Swedenborg and The Science of Immortality

Emanuel Swedenborg (1688-1772) was the only modern scientist in history who was given direct obervational access to the spiritual world of the afterlife. A few of the interesting facts I found in his empirical reports include these amazing observations:

1) A human being is born a dual citizen. The physical body is in the natural world. The spiritual body in the world of spirits. The two are connected and grow up together.

2) Our spiritual body contains the mind, that is, where our feelings, thoughts, and sensations take place. It's not possible for feelings and thoughts to be in the physical brain, because this is physical, that is, matter, time, space. The only thing possible in the brain is electro-chemical activity of cells and neurons. But thoughts or feelings cannot possibly be in the brain. Cat scans and EEGs can measure this electrical activity, but not the sensations, thoughts, and feelings that are in our mind. These cannot be measured in any way whatsoever. That is because they are not physical objects or phenomena. They are mental phenomena, or spiritual phenomena in the world of spirits, which is als called the afterlife of eternity and immortality

3) Feelings and thoughts are in the mind, in the mental organs of the spiritual body, which is located in the world of spirits of eternity apart from time and space. When the physical body dies, we are resuscitated 36 hours later, and awaken in the world of spirits. Swedenborg watched thousands of people being resuscitated and describes the process in detail. We start our life of immortality, either in the heavens of our mind, or in the hells there. It's our choice. But the choice we make then, is dictated by what we love and what we are not willing to give up in our character and personality.

4) This is good news!!!! We are born immortal!!!!! We can never die!!!!!! Swedenborg spent the last 27 years of his life on earth being conscious in both worlds simultaneously. This was the first time in scientific history that a scientist acquired the ability to observe the spiritual world and to describe it scientifically and rationally. 5) IMPORTANT NEWS:
Swedenborg was able to interview and visit with hundreds of people whom he had known personally, or had known about them from history. Some people lived in heaven, others in hell. Yes that is completely true. So what can be more important to you and me than to find out how we go to one or the other???? Swedenborg describes it rationally and scientifically and anyone with high school elducation can easily understand it.

If you search all Google blogs for Swedenborg you will find several, as I noticed. And if you google Swedenborg on the Web, you will find many interesting sites, books, courses, etc. Most of these are connected with a religious motivation or presentation of Swedenborg's Writings.
